Board of Directors

BRDC is governed by a Board of Directors (Steve Malcom, Erin Cooperrider, Susan Witt) who are year-round residents actively involved in real estate development, supportive housing, community organizations, and local government. All activities of the non-profit are directed by the board and executed by qualified third-party professionals hired by the board. As BRDC grows, the board will be expanded to include members with the necessary skill sets to ensure growth and stability.

BRDC recognizes that many people in this community, in particular members of the Joint Economic Development Committee, have invested significant time and energy trying to meet the community’s housing need. This is just one solution, purposefully designed to have a significant impact.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Knickerbocker Group, Mr. Malcom has been an entrepreneur in the home building industry for the last 44 years. He is committed to enhancing the lives of Mainers and the Maine community. He recognizes the importance of being engaged and active in supporting economic and community development activities that enhance community. Mr. Malcom’s ability to envision and encourage sustainable innovation has made him a valuable board member of these organizations:
